It was a day of mixed results for the club on Sunday as our senior hurlers bowed out of the Senior Hurling Championship to Confey and our camogie team sealed their place in the Junior Championship semi finals finishing top of their group.
With a strong start from Confey and a half time scoreline of 2-12 to 1-5 to Confey, our senior hurlers fought hard in the 2nd half to bring the difference to 2 points before finishing 3-16 to 3-12.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, club members and supporters, thank you to the players for their commitment and efforts on the field this year. It wasnโt our day, but there are positive signs of a bright future. With young players coming through playing for the first time to the young supporters on the sideline who made their voices heard when the team needed them. We will miss the games and all that goes with them from the chats on the sideline, the action on the pitch, and the analysis after the games in the clubhouse!
Thanks also to Martin, Eoin, John , Ger and all involved in the running of the team. Hopefully we will see you all and players from the panel in the Club on Saturday for the Walkathon.
For our Camรณgs, they have finished the season top of their table with 4 wins and a draw, an incredible performance. They now play Sallins in the semi-final on Sunday, September 29th.
Best of luck to the team. Lets get out and support them next Sunday as they compete for their place in the final ๐คโค๏ธ๐
