๐ŸŸ๏ธNew Pitch
There was great news on the planning front this week as the Executive Committee received a decision from Kildare County Council on our planning permission. We are delighted that planning has been granted for our new playing pitch and car park at our new site opposite the school.

A huge amount of work went into the planning submission and subsequent requests for information from the County Council. Thank you to Paul, Chris and all involved in getting this across the line. As we know space to train and play matches is at a premium, and we look forward to having this additional pitch available for our growing club members.

With our Sports Capital Grant approval in place we will have a further update in the next few weeks.

Huge well done to Louise and all the boys and girls from Jo's Playschool who visited the club last Friday to play some games and have fun ๐ŸŽˆ

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘On the pitch
It might have been a bank holiday but thereโ€™s no break for GAA thankfully with a day off an opportunity for some extra puc or kick arounds. Most of our leagues are reaching semi final stages with Go Games due to continue until end of June.

We had tough finish to last Friday with our U14 hurlers away to Naas , and our two U12 Edwardโ€™s teams away to Monasterevan and Suncroft all coming away with losses. No matter we go again and the teams showed great skills and never gave up ๐Ÿ‘

On Saturday our U8 footballers hosted Leixlip and our U10 footballers travelled to Rathcoffey. Our Senior Footballers were at home with a tough game against Castlemitchell, hard luck to the lads. The league splits after round 6 this evening , with us having a bye, with the top 4 teams and bottom 3 teams put together for the remaining games.

On Sunday there was a good start for Edwards U14s in D8 with a 7-10 to 4-7 win against Naas. Then it was all hurling with our U7s away in Milltown

The U9s hosted Leixlip and Naas at home and the U11 hurlers headed to Round Towers , always a good spot on a Sunday with Kildare Village close by๐Ÿ˜

Our Senior Camogie team played their final league game on Sunday afternoon with a tough game against Leixlip, hard luck to the team.

On Monday our U14 D4 team who have a run of fixtures at the moment๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ had a great win against ร‰ire ร“g๐Ÿ‘

Our super star U11 hurlers had a fantastic day up in Ballinteer St John playing them and Na Fianna , Kilcolleron and Cuala. Days like these are what itโ€™s all about โ€“ well done to the team for representing your club so well , we are very proud of you. There's a "caption this" moment here in this pic - we reckon there's definitely a promise of an open top bus back to Ardclough from Tony there ๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿ˜…

Our Minor Hurlers headed to Celbridge for their D1 semi final, hard luck to the team. The game finished 2-20 to 2-6. Roll on the championship !

Last game of the bank holiday with our U14 hurlers hosting Commercials for a challenge game, great game of hurling from both teams , great match.

On Tuesday our U12 & U11 hurlers had a special guest trainer๐Ÿคฉ for their session in advance of their last round of games this Friday. Thanks to Senior Hurler Martin Fitzgerald for putting the players through their paces. ๐Ÿ’ช

Wednesday was all football and camogie with a tough night for our footballers. Our D8 team unfortunately couldnโ€™t field and our D5 team playing Sarsfields losing 7-2 to 6-12 and our D3 losing to Naas by 5 points with a great match and great potential shown by the team.
