Social Committee - Volunteers Wanted 🙌
We’re looking to set up a Social Committee in the club and we’d love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved.
The idea is simple — one social event in the clubhouse each month. It could be anything from quiz nights and bingo to family evenings, live music, race nights, themed nights or something completely different!
It’s not about taking on a huge commitment. We’re looking for a group of people who can share ideas, help organise and, most importantly, help create more opportunities for our members, families and wider community to come together, have a bit of fun and enjoy the clubhouse.
If you’d be interested in joining the committee, or even just helping out with the odd event, send us a message and get involved.

Our Go Games teams returned to action this weekend !
The U10 footballers were in action at home on Saturday against Cappagh - great display of skills and team work 💪👏
Definitely a promise of an ice cream in Susan's there from Luan at the half time talk 😉🖤❤️💛
It was all hurling on Sunday with our U7s in Maynooth , followed by our U9s
While our U11s hosted Broadford at home🔥
Our Reserve A Hurling team had a super win over Confey on Monday night 6-14 to 4-10 which secures them a semi-final place against Éire Óg Corra Choill in 2 weeks time 💪
Our U12 hurlers had another super game when they travelled to Maynooth coming away with a win by 4 points 👏👏
Tuesday saw round 2 of the Junior C Championshop for Straffard, after a super performance were unlucky to lose by 3 points. Next up Castledermot on Tuesday 25th August.
On Wednesday our Minor Footballers had a great 6 point win over Milltown 4-13 to 3-10 in Rathcoffey. It was our U14s turn Thursday with a tough night v Newtown Gaels in the C Championship and Naas in the G Championship - but they never gave up and played some super football on the night👏

Our footballers continue their Junior Football Championship campaign this Friday night with a Round 2 fixture against Ballymore Eustace. We look forward to seeing plenty of support for the team as they take to the field for Round 2.🖤❤️💛
Meanwhile at home our U16 hurlers play Emerald Gaels at 6.30pm in round 2 of their championship. And Our U12 hurlers travel to Sallins to play Wolfe Tones in their C Championship.
On Saturday our U7, U9 and U11 footballers are in Go Game action - and then Sunday our U8 hurlers are playing with our U10 game v Kill postponed.
Very exciting Sunday for our Intermediate Camogie team who line out in Rathcoffey at 4pm - all support welcome in their first round fixture.
Then its back to hurling for our U12s who play Sarsfields in Sarsfields and Emerald Gaels in Rathangan, our U14 Camogs play Éire Óg away and our U14 hurlers travel to Ros Glas and Naas for their Round 3 fixtures.
Then Thursday sees the start of the Senior Hurling Championship ! We play Naas in Manguard Park 🖤❤️💛💪
LIAM HOGAN CUP 2026
The Liam Hogan Cup takes place on 28 August - a huge day in our juvenile hurling calendar. Follow along on Instagram - @ardcloughgaaofficial to see the teams lining out this year

Kildare
Lots of action for our development squad players over the last week.
The Kildare U14 Hurling Development squads participated in a number of intercounty blitzes today, with Donnacha Flynn, Fletcher Dowling, David Clarke and Killian Collins playing in Hawkfield. Winning all games and with a great win against Offaly in the final.
Well done to all
The U15 Kildare Hurling Development Squad played the John Doyle A Cup Tournament on Saturday in Borrisoleigh playing Antrim and Kerry. A huge well done to Nathan, Adam and Tom, who represented Ardclough.
We are incredibly proud of the lads and the effort, commitment and dedication they have shown throughout.
The U15 LGFA PDP took place in Kilcock with Emma Finneran and Lucy Cunningham representing Straffard and special mention to mentor Eamon Clarke involved in the management team.
