⛳Amgen Irish Open 2026 - Fantasy Golf - Winner Maurice Sexton !
The Amgen Irish Open is done and dusted — and what a tournament it was.
Congratulations to our own senior hurling captain Maurice Sexton 🎉who won the Ardclough GAA pool with a score of -45.125. Shane Lowry's −23 performance at Doonbeg was the pick of the week, and anyone who had him in their team will know it.

It was all go last Friday as always at this time of year. Our U16 camogs welcomed Naas to Ardclough, hard luck to the girls with the game finishing 0-3 to 1-16.
Over in our county ground, our Senior Hurlers took to the field to play Clane in round 2 of the championship. A tight game with scores traded throughout. With scores from Darragh Buggle, Colm Walsh, Tim Ryan , Sean Whelan, Harry Maughan, Cillian Burke - it was looking to be a draw game until a goal from Tony Spain and point from Sean Whelan won it for us - 2-19 to 0-23 🖤❤️💛
Well done to the team - next up round 3 v Celbridge on Sunday 27th September.
On Saturday it was Go Games Football with our U8s and U10s. And our U7 hurlers got in a quick blitz travelling to O'Loughlin Gaels
The team marched out in a pipers parade and played six games. They showed skill and worked hard with great support from the sidelines.👏💪🤩
And on Sunday it was U7 & U9 hurling with our U9 hurlers travelling to neighbours Celbridge and having great fun playing hurling 🔥a joy to watch 👏
Also playing Sunday were our 2 U14 hurling teams who travelled to Maynooth in div 1 and Naas in div 2 . Mixed results with a draw and a loss but great hurling by both teams and one game left to play for our div 1 team before semi final stages.
Sunday afternoon saw our 2 adult camogie teams in action with our Intermediates playing Leixlip and our Junior team playing Broadford , hard luck to the teams - Ardclough 1-7 - Leixlip 4-17 and Ardclough 0-3 to Broadford 2-17
Meanwhile down in Laois our U11 hurlers were winners of the Paddy Whelan Memorial Tournament in Clonad GAA having won all their matches against some great opposition.
Our U14 camogs travelled to Clane on Monday for their round 4 fixture and came up against a strong Clane team. On Tuesday our U10 camogs welcomed Kill for a challenge game, amzing skills from both teams, future of Kildare camogie is very bright
It was all football Wednesday ! Our U9s hosted Naas in their Go Games fixture with super team work on show.
And our U14 St Edwards footballers played on Wednesday v a strong Almyer Gaels team in Straffan. They showed such heart and never gave up , right to the end 💪 not our day but we will go again Sunday v Rathangan
Down in St Kevins, our Minor St Edwards team played their championship semi final - well done to the team for making the semis , St Kevins won the game on the night 2-12 to 1-5
😮💨Wow - lots of games and activity around the club last week - well done to tall the coaches who are working so hard - hopefully we have everything included🫡
